I became interested in occupational therapy while in high school after having the opportunity to shadow several therapists. Seeing the impact occupational therapy had on helping individuals regain independence sparked my interest in the profession. During my undergraduate studies, I began working as a technician for an occupational therapist in a hand therapy clinic, where I quickly discovered a passion for upper extremity rehabilitation and the detailed, hands-on nature of hand therapy.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Utah State University and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado Mesa University. Following graduation, I gained experience working in inpatient rehab, independent living, assisted living, and memory care settings. While I valued the relationships and growth that came from working in these environments, hand therapy has always remained my primary professional interest and am now currently working toward becoming a Certified Hand Therapist.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, being outdoors, strength training, and continually learning new skills that help me grow both personally and professionally. I value connecting with patients, problem-solving through meaningful treatment, and helping individuals return to the activities that matter most to them.
