Throughout my life I have been a very active person, participating in dance, gymnastics, bowling, and CrossFit. While in school, I struggled to find my purpose, but always felt at home in the health and physical sciences. When I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Utah, I was still at a loss of what I wanted to do for my career. A chance encounter brought me to Hand and Ortho and I have never looked back.
I've had the unique experience of working at H&O as a physical therapy aide for many years prior to attending the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Utah. Throughout my time as an aide, I was able to work under many different teams and therapists, all with varying skills and specialties. What I admired most was the level of personalized care given to every patient, which is something I strive for within my own practice.
While my title may be Physical Therapist, my role goes way beyond the physical. I take immense pleasure in cultivating relationships with all of my patients. I feel that the better I understand you, the better I can help you reach your full potential and achieve your rehabilitation goals. I want to empower my patients to reclaim control over their health and well-being through evidence-based practice and individualized programming.
When I'm not in the clinic you can find me doing CrossFit, reading, listening to true crime podcasts, attending musicals, or spending quality time with my husband and our two cats.
